Good evening and happy new year to you all, even though we are now three weeks into 2018.
For those of you who don't know me I am the author and illustrator of the children's book series, Tales From The Enchanted Forest, which currently consists of two books, Arrival and Brownie Pack Holiday, and one colouring and activity book.
During 2018 book three will be published, writing on this book began at the beginning of January, and a second colouring book will completed, which will include pictures from the books to colour in and a whole load of new pictures especially drawn for the colouring book.
A question I often get asked when I'm on presenting Tales From The Enchanted Forest at events is 'Why write children's book?'
Well, it's complicated.
No, not really 😀, I have loved reading since I was a child and I used to tell my children stories all the time when they were small to encourage them to read books themselves. Today they are avid readers.
So, the purpose of this blog is?
Ah yes, sorry, I do get easily side-tracked. Well, the principal reason is to keep you up to date on the current writing and illustration projects, the secondary reason is, of course, to sell books, all of which are available from Amazon, either as a book, with real paper - don't you just love that smell of a new book? - or you can download a copy for your Kindle, or your tablet/mobile with the Kindle app.
Actually, who am I kidding, the main reason for this blog is to encourage you to buy copies of my books.
